The children at Chipmunks Day Nursery follow a learning journey with the babies and toddlers moving through the Birth 2 3 framework and then on into pre-school and the Foundation Stage of education, which they will continue at school until the end of reception year.

The emphasis at Chipmunks is very much hands on learning through play so that children enjoy and look forward to visiting us. The children experience a wide range of activities, drawing, painting, chalk board, playdough, sand and water play, clay and imaginative modeling. They have story time and reading, construction activities and general play. They have use of a large lawned garden, complete with play equipment and sand pit. They have the added facilities of a playground and a hall for energetic games and noisy play when it is too cold or wet outside.

The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the children is a further important area to us at Chipmunks.

Parents are encouraged to be involved with their child's development and to offer their own ideas in order that we can develop the nursery and its activities to suit individual requirements. We offer details of children's progress, records and observation sheets for each child being readily available at the nursery.
